Things got “too heated” for Cardi B in her relationship with Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs, according to a report by People on Wednesday.

“Things were getting too heated and complicated. Cardi is very no-nonsense,” a source told the outlet of why the Grammy-winning rapper “pulled back” from their relationship.

“The second she felt that she couldn’t trust him, she pulled back to focus on her kids, her music and tour.

“She needs stability and wants the same for her kids.”

Cardi — whose “Little Miss Drama” tour kicked off earlier this month in California and concludes April 18 — and Diggs welcomed their son last November.

She shares three children with her estranged husband, rapper Offset: daughters Kulture, 7, and Blossom, 1, and a 4-year-old son Wave.

“They co-parent and the door is not completely closed,” People reported. “They might reconnect in the future.”

The report comes after Diggs pleaded not guilty to felony strangulation and other criminal charges —stemming from an alleged dispute with his personal chef — during a court appearance in Dedham, Mass. earlier this month.

Diggs was granted a postponement of his arraignment — initially set for Jan. 23. — due to a “previously scheduled professional commitment” that day, his lawyer, David Meier, previously said.

The arraignment was initially schedule for the Friday before the AFC Championship game.

Diggs is accused of allegedly slapping and choking his personal chef on Dec. 2 over a money dispute in his Dedham home.

The 32-year-old All-Pro wideout faces charges of strangulation or suffocation after the woman claimed he slapped and choked her until she began blacking out, a police report obtained by The Post showed.

Diggs just completed the first year of his three-year $69 million contract with the Patriots.

The People report also comes after Cardi said she isn’t “f—ing” with Diggs during her concert in Los Angeles on Feb. 15.

Cardi and Diggs, who made their relationship Instagram official last June, had been the subject of breakup rumors since Super Bowl 2026 — where the Seattle Seahawks beat the Patriots, 29-13, on Feb. 8.

The pair reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram after the big game, which was played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Cardi attended the Big Game, and appeared in Bad Bunny’s halftime show, dancing in the background among other stars.

During pre-Super Bowl media sessions, both Cardi and Diggs played coy when asked about one another.

Diggs stirred buzz over potential plans to propose to the “Outside” rapper.

“It’s on the agenda, maybe, right? Right?” he said. “I gotta get [my ring] first.”

While on the Fanatics red carpet, Cardi was asked if she had a message for Diggs before the Super Bowl clash.

“Good luck,” she said before walking away.
