The Yankees are adding a veteran lefty to their beat-up bullpen.

The club on Thursday signed reliever Tim Hill to a major league contract, in time to have him active for the series finale against the Orioles.

Clayton Andrews was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster.

Another lefty, Anthony Misiewicz, had been optioned on Wednesday night to open a spot on the active roster.

Hill, 34, was designated for assignment by the White Sox last week and then released on Tuesday.

He had posted a 5.87 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 23 innings this season.

Across parts of seven seasons in the majors — also spending time with the Royals and Padres — Hill has a career 4.30 ERA in 347 appearances.

The Yankees were in need of a fresh arm after the bullpen was forced to cover six innings in Wednesday’s 10-inning, 7-6 loss to the Orioles.

They had also lost reliever Ian Hamilton to the injured list on Tuesday, with a moderate lat strain that will keep him from throwing for three to four weeks, while fellow bullpen arm Nick Burdi has been on the IL since May 24 with right hip inflammation.
