The brand new series, “Yes, Chef!” with Martha Stewart and José Andrés premieres today at 10 p.m. Eastern, and it promises to roll in with a bang.

If you don’t have cable, you can stream the new show for free on FuboTV and DirecTV Stream. Both services offer free trials to users. Sling also offers a discount on your first month’s subscription.

You can watch the new series on demand on Peacock TV as well.

The new show is predicted to feature participants navigating interpersonal conflicts that episode previews have already given us a glimpse of. Chef contestants have been nominated for the show based on having over-aggressive attitudes, bullying demeanors, or communication challenges along with possessing stellar culinary skills.

Martha Stewart and José Andrés will be pivotal in guiding the contestants using their own insight, humor, and constructive criticism. Remarks like “I have made sous chefs cry” make it clear that emotions will run high in this dramatic take on a cooking competition, says NBC Insider.

What is “Yes Chef!” about?

The new NBC series features 12 skilled chefs who have been nominated by their bosses, co-workers, friends, or family. These chefs, while talented, are held back by personal issues such as egos, intensity, stubbornness, or short fuses. The competition aims to test their culinary skills as well as help them overcome these personal obstacles.

Hosts Martha Stewart and José Andrés will guide the chefs through a series of intense culinary challenges, providing humor and tough love to help the chefs grow both professionally and personally.

Each episode includes two challenges. The main challenge is a team exercise designed to test leadership skills, which is followed by a cook-off where the Most Valuable Chef (MVC) from the winning team competes. The also MVC gets a special advantage, according to NBC.

Each chef competes to win a $250,000 cash prize, which requires both culinary excellence and the ability to overcome their own personal challenges.
