All eyes were on Zendaya’s left hand during her latest outing in Los Angeles after she swapped her engagement ring for a new gold band.
The actress, 29, sparked marriage speculation about her and fiancé Tom Holland by stepping out on Wednesday, February 18, without her five-carat diamond ring on her ring finger.
Zendaya instead donned a gold ring — reminiscent of a wedding band — on the same finger, according to photos obtained by E! News.
Us Weekly has reached out to Zendaya and Holland’s reps for comment.
The Euphoria star was seen out with film producer Josh Lieberman on Wednesday, wearing a cream-colored jacket over a white tee, black pants and a black crossbody handbag. Her left ring finger was visible as she held onto her purse and walked through a parking lot.
Zendaya and Holland, 29, became close in 2016 while playing love interests on Spider-Man: Homecoming. As their friendship grew, fans started to speculate that they were quietly dating.
Zendaya addressed the romance rumors in August 2017, telling Entertainment Tonight, “It happens all the time, and of course we expected it. I mean, it comes with the territory. It comes with the job, so it’s all good.”
She told Variety that month that Holland was “literally one of my best friends.”
It wasn’t until July 2021 that Zendaya and Holland’s relationship was confirmed after photos surfaced of them kissing in a car in Los Angeles.
“Zendaya and Tom are in the best place they could be right now,” a source exclusively told Us in December 2021. “Going public with their relationship has made them even more strong and confident in their relationship.”
The insider added, “They are still in the new love phase and want to spend every moment together, which works out great because they’ve been doing so much shooting, traveling and press together.”
In December 2024, Holland gave fans a rare glimpse at his life with Zendaya, sharing their holiday plans on “The Dish” podcast.
“I think what we’d like to start doing, rather than spending it with each family each year, is bring the families together,” Holland said, noting that he planned to spend the holidays with “my girlfriend’s family,” who live in California. “That’s what I think we want to do next time, ’cause we’re both actors, we’re both terrible at organizing things, so it hasn’t happened yet.”
One month later, Zendaya sparked engagement speculation while walking the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet wearing a diamond sparkler on her ring finger. Multiple outlets confirmed in January 2025 that the pair were engaged following a proposal over the holidays.
Zendaya, meanwhile, sang Holland’s praises earlier this year after spending the 2025 holiday season in the U.K.
“Honestly, I know people might think it’s awkward, he is my favorite person to work with. On set he has this huge calming presence that not only puts me at ease but also everybody he works with,” she told The Mirror in January of her partner. “I might be a little biased but he is not only my favorite person, he is my favorite person to work with.”
Zendaya revealed, “Neither of us want to hide and not live our lives and do normal things like go out for dinner, but at the same time we want to protect our privacy. You have to accept that to a degree some aspects of your privacy are going to be out of your control. But the parts that are in our control, we fiercely protect.”
