The Bears hype train is full steam ahead.

After a huge win on “Monday Night Football” over the reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks, the Monster of the Midway have seen their own Super Bowl odds rise significantly.

At BetMGM Sportsbook, the Bears now have the third-shortest odds to win the Super Bowl at +900, behind the 49ers at +600 and the Bills at +550.

According to Christian Cipollini, a Senior Manager at BetMGM, 30 percent of the money wagered on the Super Bowl futures has landed on the Bears, which is the most for any single team over that span.

It has been a steady climb for coach Ben Johnson’s group, who opened at 25/1 this season and saw their odds shorten from 14/1 to 11/1 immediately after swinging a huge trade for star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons last week.

That move paid off almost immediately with Simmons registering six tackles, including a sack in his first game with Chicago.

But Chicago’s strength is its offense, led by quarterback Caleb Williams, who has made a leap this season.

The Bears have scored at least 30 points in all but one of his starts, a Week 2 loss to the Vikings in a rain-filled game that he left with a hamstring injury.

Williams ranks second in QBR (78.9) behind Brock Purdy and second in completion percentage (70.9) among qualified quarterbacks, and has moved from 12/1 to win NFL MVP to +800 over the past week, which places him fourth on the list behind Josh Allen (+150), Joe Burrow (+425), and Brock Purdy (+450).

Betting on the NFL?

As good as things have gone for Chicago in recent weeks, they still have an uphill climb as far as securing a top spot in the NFC.

They trail the Vikings (6-1) in the NFC North standings and are 0-2 against the division with losses to the Vikings at home and to the Packers at Green Bay.

They also have the toughest remaining strength of schedule in the NFL according to Tankathon, with two games against the Lions, the Bills on the road, the Jaguars, the Packers and the Vikings in Week 18.

If they can survive that gauntlet, they could see their odds continue to shorten heading into the postseason.
