New Florida head coach Jon Sumrall and ESPN talent Dan Orlovsky are in an online feud over *checks notes* feet.
Sumrall’s wife, Ginny, started the situation when she revealed her husband’s “favorite extra thing to do” is get pedicures every other week.
The interview quickly went viral and soon made its way on ESPN’s “Get Up” where Orlovsky strongly opposed Sumrall’s foot hygiene practices.
“I am completely against pedicures for dudes,” Orlovsky said. “You’re a dude. You’re not supposed to get pedicures. I’d rather have awful feet than get pedicures.”
Ironically, the former Lions quarterback has been viral for terrible feet in the past.
Notably in a 2008 game against the Vikings, the quarterback ran out of the back of the end zone while still holding the ball, resulting in a safety.
Sumrall went a different route in his response, however, posting an infamous photo on X of the ESPN analyst sniffing his former co-host Molly Qerim’s shoe during a “First Take” episode.
The Florida head coach’s post rapidly gained traction as fans took the chance to make fun of Orlovsky for the 2024 event once again.
At the time of the photo, Qerim was in visible disgust over Orlovsky’s actions.
Sumrall’s response follows a trend of his outwardly personality that has had the chance to shine under the bright lights of a Power Four conference for the first time this offseason.
At SEC Media Days, he told a reporter “you’re lucky I’m not gonna throw this freaking podium right now,” when their phone went off during a press conference.
He also cursed multiple times while on the podium, something coaches are meant to stay away from since it’s aired on TV.
Sumrall, and his personality, are attempting to rebuild a Florida team back to a national championship contender after suffering four losing seasons in the past five years.
