Joson Sanon bolting St. John’s after underwhelming season

St. John’s roster retooling continued on Wednesday.

A day after landing top international point guard Quinn Ellis and losing Dylan Darling to the transfer portal, Joson Sanon is headed elsewhere as well, a source confirmed.

The 6-foot-5 Sanon had some nice moments, but underwhelmed in his one season in Queens.

He averaged 7.9 points and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 33.8 percent from the field. In three NCAA Tournament games, he averaged just three points and shot 3-of-16 from the field.
