US Court of International Trade considers challenge to Trump’s 10% global tariffs

The US Court of International Trade is hearing oral arguments Friday on a legal challenge to President Trump’s 10% global tariffs.

The lawsuit, brought by Democratic-led states like Oregon as well as small businesses, opposes the new levies imposed after the Supreme Court struck down Trump’s so-called “reciprocal” duties.

The plaintiffs alleged that the revised tariffs were effected in violation of the high court’s decision.
